Children's Medical Center Plano - Bed Tower Expansion

Children’s Health℠ has completed a transformative expansion at Children’s Medical Center Plano with the addition of a new 395,000-square-foot patient tower. Located in rapidly growing Collin County, the expansion triples the campus’s bed capacity, adding 140 universal and ICU-capable inpatient beds for a new total of 212. The upgraded Emergency Department has nearly doubled in size, now featuring 48 exam rooms and infrastructure designed to support a future Level II trauma center designation. The tower also introduces cutting-edge imaging and radiology facilities, including advanced MRI, CT, PET, CT, and SPECT/CT technology, along with expanded X-ray and ultrasound services. This state-of-the-art facility supports the continued growth of Children’s Health as a leader in pediatric care for families throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and beyond.
